This page gives you more information about our hamlet, Cumminges, and the mountain cottage along with some pictures. There are more pictures of the surrounding area if you click on `Gallery` above.
Cumminges is a secluded mountain hamlet, built in the mid 19th Century which used to be home to six families upto the 1950`s, but is now occupied by our family and our guests in the cottage. The hamlet has been restored using traditional materials, with the emphasis on conserving the natural habitat and environment.
The hamlet forms an East/West ribbon along the mountainside, and , facing south East, is well placed to catch the early morning sun.
Our mountain spring provides us all with beautiful water.
The different seasons bring forth a wide variety of rare flowers and fauna, and deer, pheasants and wild sanglier (no brown bears yet!) are regular users of our tracks.
